White dog is the traditional name for whiskey right after it comes out of the still but before it is barreled and aged at all. Of course there are other names for it, White Lighting, Moonshine or just plain "Corn Likker".
Our White Dog is special. It's made from the same traditional, sour mash recipe of corn, rye and malted barley that we use to make our aged Tennessee Whiskey. And it's the only un-aged whiskey available that is charcoal mellowed through layers of sugar maple charcoal to give it the smooth taste that you expect of Collier and McKeel.
Although Collier and McKeel Charcoal Mellowed White Dog is bottled at a very high proof, you will enjoy its smoothness, its full flavor and delightful aroma of baking bread and corn.
And remember this is whiskey just like it would have been served when John and George were young men.
